Paint, draw, sketch or sculpt Margate – led by Creative Coach and Founder of Go Create, Kirsty Kennedy.

On this 2 day course we’ll combine some outdoor inspiration with some indoor studio work. Each person will be coached according to their current level and encouraged to develop artworks or portfolio material which responds to Margate. We’ll combine studio work with

Some basic drawing skills are required. Before attending the course you will be sent a list of materials to bring although some materials will be available to purchase if required. Please note there will be an additional cost for firing and glazing of ceramic pieces if opting for sculpting

Day 1

We’ll start with a brief presentation and will introduce themes to inspire and discuss approaches that can lead to the work that you produce over the 2 days.

We’ll follow with some exercises to get everyone in the creative flow before heading out to gather some inspiration or to make sketches.

After lunch we’ll meet back at base to review sketches or project ideas. More experienced students can get launch themselves into painting in the studio whilst beginners will be coached in developing drawings or paintings.

On day 2,

We’ll start once more in the studio.

Mid-morning we’ll run a ceramic sculpting workshop for those wishing to create a piece inspired by the coast and also offer mixed media painting tutorials. Students will continue to be coached on this second day to produce work inspired by the coast.
