Our fun 1 day soap making is suitable for absolute beginners who wish to be impressed. During this beginner level workshop we;ll explain traditional soap making processes and how this relates to melt and pour bases. In this particular workshop we’ll focus on layering and embedding techniques to create a range of creative soaps using and exploring melt and pour soap bases,
A brief overview of traditional soap making
How to melt, scent and pour soap base safely
Health and Safety
Where to source materials and equipment
Soap base and mould types
How to fragrance and colour using natural or synthetic ingredients
How to de-mould
Hint and tips including trouble shooting advise.
MAKE AND TAKE HOME:
The soap making method that we will be using does not involve the use of harsh chemicals and therefore any soaps that you make on the day can be used immediately. Expect to take home at least a half dozen soaps.
All our courses include light refreshments (i.e teas and coffees) will be offered at the start of the course.
WHAT TO BRING
Please dress for mess and bring a container to take home your soap samples.
