Kirsty Kennedy, founder of Go Create will coach in drawing and painting (acrylics or oils) and will pass on some professional tips to help you make rapid progress.  Groups are kept small with no more than 4 students to ensure that everyone gets a good level of support.  Materials will be supplied in the first couple of weeks and advice will be given on supplies to buy as the course progresses. Expect to undertake some exercises at the start  and to work towards your own projects with creative directional support by weeks 3, 4 and 5. Coaching takes place in the artist’s studio in Margate.

Course content:

• drawing basics (fundamentals of line, form, proportions, composition, perspective and more to ensure you can get started in painting)
• introduction to acrylic or oils if you have some experience of acrylic
• advise on equipment and materials including supports
• colour mixing and layering
• creative directional support

If you have some drawing and painting experience do get in touch before booking to ensure this is the right course. Kirsty Kennedy also runs one to one and one to two creative directional/art lessons which may be more suited.

Kirsty also runs weekend courses and more specialist courses in watercolour, mixed media painting as well as a summer paint, draw, sketch courses which combine outdoor skethcing and painting with some indoor studio work.

Louise Berryman Materials are provided and you can trial a wide variety of mediums. This is a great, introductory, general class and is an ideal way to trial mediums and approaches before embarking on a more specialist course. Class sizes are small and the price is great value for the level of art directional support that you will receive.
