Book and drop in

Our casual/this relaxed pottery session is great for students who want to work on specific project ideas or do their own thing. We can inspire with ideas and offer technical assistance where needed together with simple clay-making techniques including coiling, slabbing and pinch pot. These sessions are limited to 12 students to ensure that everyone can get some advice when needed. At the end of the class, you can choose to have your piece kiln fired for an additional cost (approximately £5/pot but it depends on the weight and volumn of your pot). Fired pieces can be painted with glazes in a later paid session.

If you are completely new to pottery it is highly recommended that you attend a 2 hour introduction to handbuild pottery which will cover all the basics in a more structured workshop. Do enquire for rates.

If you would like to book a block of 5 or 10 consecutive sessions. please get in touch and subject to availability we may be able to offer a block. Please note that any sessions in a block booking that are not attended cannot be refunded unless that space can be filled. See terms for further information.

Children are welcome to attend with a paying adult. Or we do run an earlier session exclusively for children – enquire for details.

Please note: Glazes can vary from examples shown Pots will shrink about 15% when fired and glazed Pots can crack or explode in the kiln Pieces can only be held on our premises for a further 3 months.
