    • Piece it together

      Encounter the delightful world of micro mosaics. We’ll inspire with a brief history into micro mosaics before examine contemporary approaches. We’ll introduce you to different materials and techniques to create micro mosaic tiles and show how to piece your design together. We’ll cover methods for 2D and 3D designs. This is a hands on compact workshop that will have you eager to create more.  The workshop includes the cost of bases and a selection of mosaic materials.

    • This is a fun, short workshop – you don’t have to be particularly interested in mosaics but simply looking for a novel experience and to take home some baubles – we’ll serve mulled wine and mince pies on arrival just to get everyone in the festive spirit.  

      For the more serious, aspiring mosaic artist, you’ll learn how to tackle 3D mosaics – about the adhesives needed, grout colour and special considerations for external mosaics.


    • Advance your mosaic making skills whist making your own designer bird house. It should have the neighbours tweeting and see certain visitors flock to the area. We’ll inspire with some crazy designs and teach some more advanced tile-cutting techniques.

    • Stay outdoors late into the evening
      With mosaic glass lanterns for your garden

      Transform jam jars into magical lanterns using cut pieces of coloured glass.  During this workshop we’ll use a 7cm x 6cm glass to ensure you complete and grout the piece within the time (the emphasis being on safety). We’ll show you how to cut glass and the tools and equipment needed. You’ll also learn about adhesives and also how to grout and polish your finished piece.

      There’s nothing more beautiful than watching flickering candle light through tea lights/lanterns : just perfect for those for darker autumn nights and festive occasions.



      Learn mosaic skills whilst creating a coaster, house number plaque, or wall hanging. We’ll teach about the equipment and materials needed and show you how to plan, cut tile pieces and grout your final piece. During the process you’ll learn about laying mosaic tiles. This course provides an intense introduction to traditional mosaic techniques and skills which provide the foundation for contemporary mosaic making.  This course provides the  knowledge needed to progress with mosaics at home with a relatively minimal set-up. We coach students according to their current level ad support individual pathways into mosaic art. 

      Learn about the equipment and techniques needed to create a stunning mosaic  heart  complete with vintage crockery and pearlised mosaic pieces. We’ll also show you how to grout your final design.
      Its well worth taking this course if you wish to develop more advanced mosaic skills. Although simple, the making of these hearts involve level 2 cutting and planning skills which should feed into future mosaic making.
      These hearts make fabulous gifts and what’s more when you get the hang of this they don’t take too long to make.

      During a 2.5 hour taster you'll learn about the different materials that can be incorporated into mosaic, about bases and adhesives. You'll also get to work on your own mosaic mirror using pre-cut pieces. (think candy store). Children (aged 6+) are welcome when accompanied.
