Experience the beauty of porcelain

Porcelain is no doubt the posh aunt in clay terms – she’s difficult to work with but has a magnificent quality that has to be admired. You’ve just got to know how to handle her properly – that’s where our experts come in. Our experts will help explain why porcelain is tricky to handle and will provide some expert tips to get you started with porcelain and work her to her best advantage whilst watching for pitfalls. During the session we’ll focus on handbuild techniques and how to build structures that showcase porcelain.   We’ll also cover texturising and creating coloured prints onto porcelain using stains. We’ll then fire and glaze your best 2 pieces.

BOOKING TERMS Date changes or cancellations are possible with no charge more than 4 weeks notice from the course start. Cancellations with two weeks to one month from the course start incur a 50% charge.   No refund will be given within 2 weeks of the course start. We do however allow people to send someone else in their place – simply let us know the name of the person who will take your place in advance.
