Our clay club for 6-11s, is a drop-off club meaning you can grab a coffee close by whilst kids get making. We give instruction on how to make simple pots, plates or cups or sculptures in clay and add surface decoration or detail. This ticket is for a 5 week class which takes place either on a Wednesday afterschool or on a Saturday morning. Its possible to join at any time – simply purchase the next available date and get in touch to advise when you wish to start. Beginners or returners are welcome. Once pieces have dried out completely they will be bisque fired ready for painting. This will happen at a later session. Once painted items will need to be fired again before collection. Depending on how well pieces are made, they can be used for food and drink or anything else you can think of.  The glazese we use are food safe and the stoneware clay is microwe, hand wash and dishwasher safe.

The prices includes the firing and glazing of a main piece such as a cup, bowl or sculpture and a ceramic miniature made in each session or a number of smaller pieces. Pieces will be ready for collection 3 weeks after they have been glaze painted and held for a maximum of 6 months.

There are no wheel sessions in this club. We do have a separate class which is suitable for both parents and children which is held at a slightly later time on Saturdays. Lastly, we cannot post items to you but friends and family can collect pots on your behalf.
