Our clay club for 6-12s, is a drop-off club meaning you can grab a coffee close by whilst kids get making. This ticket is for a taster which takes place on a Saturday morning 9-10am at the gallery. We give instruction on how to make simple pots, plates or cups or sculptures in clay and add surface decoration or detail.  Beginners or returners are welcome. Once pieces have dried out completely they will be bisque fired ready for painting. This will happen at a later paid session or can be collected approximately 4 weeks later to paint with acrylics at home. If returning for a separate paid session to paint pots these will need up to 4 weeks – we notify when pieces are ready to collect. Depending on how well pieces are made, they can be used for food and drink or anything else you can think of.  The glazes we use are food safe and the stoneware clay is microwe, hand wash and dishwasher safe.

The price includes the firing and glazing of pieces that are suitable for firing. Pieces will be ready for collection 4-5 weeks after they have been glaze painted..

There are no wheel sessions in this club.  You can book a single session using this ticket. Upon booking a registration form will be sent. To book a block of 5 or 10 sessions, please get in touch and we can send a link.

Sessions are led by DBS checked practitioners and first aiders.

Please note, we cannot post items to you but friends and family can collect pots on your behalf. We also keep junior pieces for up to 6 months after notification.
