This 2 day course is hands on, creating several glass items of various colour combinations which will later be kiln fused.

On day 1
Let’s think about a design, keep it simple but personalise if you can. We’ll cover the basics of cutting and setting the glass for a good fusing, including in some cases aligning metal (inclusion)pins for wall hanging designs. All this with the proper health and safety training to avoid cuts or burns working with sharp glass and very hot kiln. 

On day 2
Once we’re happy with the successful fusion, (results of day 1 revealed on day 2) we’ll build on those skills and learn about ‘slumping’ to create a small dish effect. It’s on this day where we’ll ensure each person has something for the kiln, to be collected a couple of days later, or if possible posted.

Flat, toe covered shoes and a shirt or top that covers the arms should be worn for this workshop.

Please note we will be breaking for an hour lunch on both days.
