Private Tutoring
We have a limited number of private tutoring slots each week in a range of art, craft and design disciplines including painting, drawing and therapeutic arts from our studio in Margate which start from £65/hour. We also also deliver some sessions by zoom. To find out more about the different services, prices and packages, click at the foot of this page. Creative Coaching
We also have a highly experienced team of artist, educator and artrepreneurs who offer creative coaching and mentoring services to people at various stages in their art journey or creative career. Creative coaches can help with many different aspects of your practice: from portfolio assessments, artist identity or statements, dealing with creative blocks, creative direction to technical skills learning. Private Tutoring
Private tutoring is suitable for clients seeking lessons in a particular medium such as painting, drawing discipline such as mosaic, pottery or various crafts. Prices vary according to session length, art or craft form, topic or the number of sessions booked and tutor level.
Private tutoring starts at £65/hour. For adults we often recommend 1.5 hour session. It is also possible to book longer one-off sessions if seeking to learn a specific skill in a full-day
Visual Arts Coaching
This form of coaching relates specifically to coaching visual artists and can be at any level: from absolute beginners seeking their first entry with the arts, to learning their personal relationship with art: whether that be as a relaxing and therapeutic pastime or to explore and draw out natural abilities. For those with prior experience it can be to support a return to art practice, developing technical skill, critical thinking skills or gaining feedback. Support can also be given to define artist identity/practice, prepare and artist statement, CV and prepare for further creative study, career or arts marketing or representation.
Creative Coaching
Creativity is a skill that all types of artists: writers, musicians and visual artists as well as entrepreneurs, professionals in every field or walk of life. Parents, teachers, children as well as surgeons and scientists can all develop or use creative thinking in their daily lives to achieve small or great things.
Creative coaching teaches techniques, skills, mindset changes and habits to better develop creativity or to solve a particular problem or realise a specific project.
Mentoring
Mentoring occurs in many fields and refers to when an experienced professional with industry experience to support an individual with less experience over a period of time. This can either be an intense or longer stretch of time. Although mentoring can encompass coaching the service is much broader and can relate to all aspects of work towards a specific project, goal or creative enterprise start-up or change including business advise or marketing support. We can mentor visual artists and aspiring creative practitioners or creative entrepreneurs.
FLEXIBLE CREDITS
Go Create credits can be used for private tutoring, creative mentoring sessions, bite sized courses (up to 2 hours duration) or 2 credits for a full day course. Simply email us to book into a course using your credits and ensure you receive a booking confirmation. If combining with an initial private lesson/mentoring session, guidance can be given as to the type of course selection that is next recommended
These are available for individuals who wish to pay for a number of sessions in advance but require flexibility in how these are used throughout the year. Single credits cost £65 and can be used to book an hours private tuition or mentoring session or to book onto a 2 hour workshop (painting, drawing or pottery).
