Express yourself with clay
and make your own plates, mugs and dinner sets

This course is suitable for those new to pottery or those requiring a more structured course. We’ll cover the main handbuild techniques: pinch pot, coil and slab. We’ll also cover topics such as surface decoration, joining techniques, how to make spouts and handles,  hump. slump and sprig moulds , surface decoration,  coloured slips and underglazes. This course also includes one session on the wheel. No prior experience is needed.

The course is open to a maximum of 8 students meaning each student gets the support they need.  Each session is two hours long and all materials and tools are provided. Please note that there is an additional cost for any pieces that you would like fired and glazed which are worked out by the weight and volume not your piece. For example a standard size mug is £6.
