K. Kennedy – Founder of Go Create:

Following a decision to change career in my mid 20’s, I embarked on numerous courses to make sense of my own creative passions. A decision which led me to take many courses at a number of London’s major course providers. Over the next 10 years I held a studio at Wimbledon Art Studios* where I developed my paintings and educational interests emerged.

During this period I became aware of the gap between the type of knowledge and support that artists sought and the type of courses being offered. At times I was left shell-shocked, robbed and hugely disappointed, but not from all institutions. There was a potential market emerging.

Go Create was born from my passion for the arts and understanding of the support needs of artists –   I sought to set up a company to harness the expertise of practitioners, fully engaged in contemporary practice and the  newcomers eager to engage fully. The courses rival the large institutions with elements of fun, information rich content and focus on the development and nurturing of the individual.

Choose the best gift according to your budget. That can be the experience of a course that inspires or encourages mum’s interests. Better still, why not book something that you can both attend together and really bond! We run a range of crafty 2-3 hour workshops at the weekends, classes and longer courses including pottery, ceramics, mosaics, painting and drawing and specialist crafts including candle making and soap making. All fun inquisitive, informative and inclusive with light refreshments. Even posh tea.

A personalised voucher can be presented on the day.
