Mosaic heaven
Immerse yourself in this colourful pastime.

Enjoy mosaic making in a relaxed atmosphere  under the watchful eye of an experience mosaic artist. Each day, we’ll run tutorials, demonstrations and presentations to inspire project ideas and teach different aspects of mosaic making skills from beginner basics in tile cutting and grouting to more advanced topics such as  tile flow and methods, techniques and special considerations for outdoor and 3D work.  More advanced students are free to work  on self-directed projects with guidance and support. The aim is to develop each student beyond their current level.

Project ideas for beginners will include simple projects to start with for skill development: wall hanging pieces, a mosaic mirror or mosaic picture. More ambitious project ideas include bird baths, bird houses, 3D mosaic pieces or outdoor table tops.  The course includes some materials. Guidance and support will be given on items to bring prior to the course cost. Further materials and supplies will be available for purchase during the course.

In the early stages, beginners will be encouraged to tackle specific mosaic exercises to develop up skills such as a coaster or mosaic wall hanging before embarking on more ambitious projects.
