Get to grips with painting and drawing basics
with a professional art coach

New to art or wanting to improve? We’ll coach you in the basics of drawwing and painting (acrylics or oils)  and will pass on some professional tips to help you make rapid progress.  Whether you’re starting out in painting or drawing or wish to develop specialist skills, we’ll offer encouragement and creative directional support to ensure you make great progress. Groups are kept small with no more than 8-10 students to ensure that everyone gets a good level of support. There’s also the opportunity for our. most talented beginners or improvers to showcase work in our gallery.

What we’ll cover:

• drawing basics (fundamentals of line, form, proportions, composition, perspective and more to ensure you can get started in painting)
• introduction to acrylic or oils if you have some experience of acrylic
• colour mixing
• we’ll coach you to help you explore your own interests and undertand your strengths and developing style

Louise Berryman Materials are provided and you can trial a wide variety of mediums. This is a great, introductory, general class and is an ideal way to trial mediums and approaches before embarking on a more specialist course. Class sizes are small and the price is great value for the level of art directional support that you will receive.
